On the Adoption of the Final Communiqué of the BRICS Civil Forum 2024

22/07/2024

On July 3-4, 2024, the BRICS Civil Forum took place in Moscow. More than 650 people took part in the forum - representatives of the civil society of the BRICS countries and invited countries of the world majority.

The forum was preceded by a lot of preparatory work. Nine working groups were created, headed by co-chairs - representatives of Russia as the chairing country and the BRICS countries. Each working group, as a result of face-to-face, videoconferences and correspondence discussions, developed and internally agreed upon its own position paper, which briefly and reasonably reflected the public opinion on the issues of the most concern to civil society on the BRICS agenda.
